Felix came home seventh in the second FIA Formula 3 European Championship race of the weekend at Moscow Raceway.
The race – which Felix started from ninth on the grid – proved largely uneventful with no major incidents or position changes.
Felix got away well off the line to immediately grab eighth from Dennis van de Laar, but then got stuck in the wheeltracks of Jake Dennis, spending the rest of the event behind the Englishman.
Felix’s best shot at challenging the Carlin man came when Max Verstappen suddenly slowed dramatically at the halfway stages. Felix and Dennis caught the Dutchman in the technical Turn 4/5 complex, bunching all three drivers together as the faster duo went past the Van Amersfoort Racing machine, but Dennis held firm and Felix eventually crossed the line in seventh.
The final race of this weekend takes place this evening.
FELIX:
“The story of this race was pretty much the same as yesterday. I made a good start, and then things settled in very quickly. I got a slender shot at overtaking Jake when we both passed Max, but it’s quite easy to defend around this place and there wasn’t room enough to launch a real attack. It will be tough to do much more than this in the final race this evening, but rest assured that I’ll give it my all to at least cap this weekend off in a positive way.”
